The Peonies did not open

The five peonies that I bought two weeks ago never fully opened.

Today's photo shows that they are beginning to decay. They had a lovely scent.

The green fronds in the vase are, I think, fennel. At least they smell like fennel. Or it might be dill.

Today's event was a trip to the dentist to have my offending tooth out. Apparently it harboured a big infection. I'm glad it's gone. I held the nurse's hand very tightly.

I am now £172 poorer.
