Abu Dhabi’s heritage

After a very light sleep I was up at 1.45am, showered and walked to the terminal for my 5am flight. A few people were hanging around in the other terminals for early flights.
Thirteen hours later on a full flight I arrived in Abu Dhabi for my free stopover. Had a nice swim in the pool then headed to the WTC souk and enjoyed friendly banter with the traders. Bought a small container of frankincense then walked to the Corniche and enjoyed the fresher air. It was 36C and about 70% humidity. Back to the hotel, dinner outside and an early night. Happy to be back in the Gulf.!
