The Feast Day of Saint Leo 111. He became Pope in December 795 succeeding Pope Hadrian. He made Charlemagne Holy Roman Emperor. They worked strongly together to establish a powerful Roman Church and they opposed the rise of Islam. Pope Leo 111 died two years after Charlemagne, in the year 816.

I have been to morning Mass at the Parish Church. Year One were present with their two class teachers. Father gave an excellent teaching about the priestly vestments. He asked for a young lad to wear the white alb, the stoll, which looks like a scarf,
and the chasuble, the outer garment that is red for Pentecost. He then explained the meaning and use of these garments. The children joined in enthusiastically and behaved really respectfully in Church.

I collected my prescription from Cohens then walked home.

I got the washing done and Paul set up the new rotary drier in the garden. It is something we were planning to buy for quite a long time and it is lovely we now have it.

Paul ordered an additional gadget to strim the shared hedge and that it due for delivery this evening.

I have watered the pot plants and up potted three cat mint plants.
