Abstract Thursday: Shapes
For Ingeborg's AT challenge this week on "shapes" I took a photo of the bare floorboards in our 2nd bedroom before the carpet fitters arrived. I chose an area with a variety of "splodgy" shapes accumulated over the years from slops of paint etc, and lots of grain and knots too. Putting it through an "emboss" filter in Photoshop made some of the splodges develop a 3-D effect which I rather liked so here's the result.
The carpet looks lovely (but as always it's very fluffy so the vacuum cleaner will be getting lots of use over the next few days!). And as I anticipated, with the new underlay and carpet being thicker than we've had before, I had to take the door off to remove 4-5 mm from the bottom. Needless to say, as the door dates from 1904 it's heavy and made of very high quality timber so I was grateful to my Editor for her help in removing and rehanging it!
