Mora, Dalarna
Our journey north continues. We have not yet reached as far north as we aim to. The big event today was visiting Mora in county Dalarna.
One of Sweden's most famous artists, Anders Zorn, lived and worked here. His home has been preserved as a museum, just as it was left at the time of his wife's death; he himself died about 20 years before her.
A house and home in national romantic style. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed inside.
But his studio, which was in a separate building on the property, could be photographed. (First extra photo.)
Then we continued northward to county Härjedalen. And we encountered reindeer for the first time on this journey; there are quite a few of them. Everything went well; no one was run over.
It is incredibly beautiful here; there are constant 'ahh' and 'ohh' sounds in the car almost all the time. Well, maybe not when we're driving mile after mile through just forests.
At one point, I wanted to stretch my legs a bit and took the opportunity to photograph a small village below the parking lot.
Now we are staying at a fashionable (and expensive) mountain hotel with a view of the mountain.
The food at the restaurant lived up to my expectations and it was really good. But the wifi is crap even at a fancy hotel. I have tried to upload this post many times.
