For Abstract Thursday

Though realistically, this isn't a truly abstract image. It's more arty. I like the blue shutters.

Today, after a full day at the "office" (I work from home on a Thursday), we headed to Al Seef for a much-needed change of scenery. All the challenges of the past few days are taking their toll. To add to the list, the living room a/c wouldn't work. Usually, it is the most reliable unit in the flat. Thankfully, the technician who looks after it can come first thing in the morning.

We hit Al Seef at the right time, light-wise, but boy was it humid. As nice as it was to see the Creek and associated life in glorious sunlight, it was too hot to be out for any length of time, so we headed back via Spinneys, where I used the self-checkout and realised when I got home that one item had been scanned twice. I called back, and they confirmed the error. Now, I have a credit with them to use the next time I visit.

The day's news was taken up by the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. It's so sad.
