A Wet and Long Day Out

A very late blip - 12.30am - as I am just home from a very long day out. It's going to sound crazy to you but Ian and I went on an excursion to Blaenau Ffestiniog today, a round trip of some 600 miles. We caught the train at 5.18am in Ipswich and arrived back in Ipswich at 11.55pm. Unfortunately the rain arrived in Wales at the same time we did and with that and the very tight schedule photographs were out of the question, except this one of the narrow gauge steam train that travelled over the route that slate miners used to carry quarried slate to Porthmadog. A wonderful but very tiring day, don't think I'll be surfacing very early!
