Billy Bonsai going on holiday

Lot of final prep and mopping up to do before tomorrow.  Plus a big key meeting on the show that was long but went well.  

Then I took the bonsai up to my neighbour for the trip, bonsai need watering every day so they have to go somewhere.  She was anxious that we’d fall out if it died but I thought 90% of bonsai given as gifts were unlikely to make it.  It’s such a hopeful gift but the reality seems doomed.  Jennifer is a long time local resident so of course I caught up on local gossip over a cup of tea. The shop as we know has been sold and the excellent owner who has done so much to build the business into a really clever and locally focused operation seems to be going to lose all.  It’s very disheartening. 

I spent the evening packing, we ate a delicious bean stew from Madeleine’s Kitchen and I think all is ready for the off.
