Art Deco in the heat!

Art deco architecture is a significant element of the recent design history in Bordeaux.  Homes built in the Lescure quarter in the 1930s offer a solid and ornate presence in the elegant quiet tree-lined streets.   I spent several hours wandering here today.

Then off to the beautiful Jardin Public for lunch and walked straight into the misting area as soon as i saw it.  Temps topped 35 today so it was very welcome.  (see extras)
