Afternoon Tea
A rather indulgent day. For W's big birthday in March some friends of ours bought her a gift voucher to spend at the Raffles Hotel in the Old War Office in Whitehall. The hotel is built in the old Government buildings and has been restored to a fantastic and luxurious standard.
We had booked for afternoon tea and were not disappointed. Sandwiches, pastries and cakes all washed down by teas of our choice and a rather nice glass of something sparkling. Somehow, we managed to get through the lot without needing to ask for a 'doggie bag' to take some home!
We had a little explore around the hotel afterwards so my shot is the entrance area to the ballroom. We are now on the train home so I will try and post this from my phone. If I can, I'll add a couple of extras of us enjoying our tea and the Drawing Room where we were sitting.
