Weaver at work- Open Studios stirlingshire

It’s always a pleasure to meet textile artist Katherine Cowtan in her studio and to see work in progress. She is holding one of her cashmere and silk scarfs using colours inspired by the countryside around her in  Fintry viewed from her studio window.
 
Katherine is sharing Open Studios with Sheila Patrick, a basketmaker who works in willow, combining her artistic skills with practical craftmaking. ( see extra).
I am always in awe of artists and makers who achieve such a high degree of quality and excellence in their work.
