Cutting!
My curtains and dress were ready for collection today. My blip showed the 2" step cut from the skirt. I'm so glad I didn't take it on. The tailor said the cutting of it seemed endless. Out of interest we measured the length of the cut off strip. My four metres estimate of yesterday was wildly underestimated, it was over 7 metres long . That's been a job well done, at least it's a slightly more manageable length now. I'm not wearing it till we go on holiday next month, I'll try to remember to take a picture of it.
My knee and ankle continue to be causing me discomfort and the orthotics have been delayed at the manufacturer. I've got a heel raise at the moment but that doesn't address the pronation problem. Hopefully they'll turn up soon. I decided to fall for one of these internet ads, which I had done since research on. I got some Turmeric and Neroli (to improve the scent) essential oil and I'm going to try rubbing it in to both foot and knee morning and night to see if I can notice any improvement.
We decided to head out for lunch today, initially heading out of town, at 11.45, but Queensferry Road, the A90 was at a standstill. We turned around and headed for the Botanics where we managed to get a table on the Terrace at the Gatehouse Restaurant. My extras were taken there. The gulls seemed singularly unaffected by the strategic placement of two resin hawks and raided any plates left on tables by customers who couldn't be bothered self clearing.
Katy popped by to pick up my car keys, she's borrowing the car to make dropping children somewhat easier tomorrow as Jon is working. Eilidh reportedly had a wonderful time last night, she looked lovely in a pretty pink dress (she normally wears neither dresses nor pink) from Next. Thank goodness their school didn't go in for horribly expensive Prom outfits and limos. She picked up her silver Maths Challenge award today at Heriot Watt, she now has her own MC mug to add to her mum's collection
Ali came by a little later, she and the girls are staying over tonight to keep them in the habit. We took it in turns over the course off the evening to fall asleep.
Goodnight blippers - sleep well.
