Making Progress
Today I was Very, Very Brave.
At this stage in the building works at church there is a temporary entrance which I have been baulking at using. It's further away from the burglar alarm and, for other reasons, feels much more unsafe should someone I don't know decide to tailgate me if I'm going into church on my own in the evenings.
There was a bit of a debacle on my part on Sunday over altar frontal and the accompanying accoutrements change overs, along with a bit of missing information about something happening in the week, As I had also promised to do the tasks our sacristan usually does on a Saturday, as well as the colour changes which has become my task, and I really didn't want to get up to get into church even earlier than usual on Sunday, today was the day for bravery.
Also meant I got to inspect the progress of the new accessible toilet. I'd cheerfully outed myself as something of a professional in this matter, (until recently I was a regular go-to person at work for assisting students who have non-rota-ed personal care needs care plans) to the builders on Sunday who'd come in after the service to get on with the tiling. They were quick to tell me their plans for making it all as good and safe as possible.
