Bouquetin Horns are also…
… useful in the spring to scrape that tatty Winter coat off! They are back in the Martisberg Valley below the Diablerets Hut now the snow has more or less melted. I almost bumped into two males working on their coiffure. This one is multi-tasking, scratching his ear at the same time! An extra to show the rather dramatic cliffs in the area where these wonderful animals live. Can you spot the bouquetin in the photo?
Another roasting hot day, it’s still 30 degrees centigrade in the garden at 6pm. Preston was desperate to come out but I suspect he’s wondering why he did now, he’s hot, and lying in the shade. The temperatures are so much more pleasant higher up in the mountains too.
