Or Hemerocallis to give it its proper name. These are now coming into flower in the garden. I'm happier with the planting in our garden this year than any time in the last 30, as there seems to be a constant flow of plants coming into flower, filling the borders and providing interest.

A relatively quiet day, I walked up to the library to stretch my Achilles after yesterday's exertions. I didn't have the greatest night's sleep, I seem to be aching from most parts of my body, and I woke at regular intervals, noticing how humid it was overnight.
