Mother and Children
L and I were out today looking at fireplaces - the choice was so wide we came away with lots of options - we just need to consider what is going to best suit the living room.
On the way back I took her for a short walk where the local deer herd are found most of the time. We literally hadn't got out of the car when we spotted a group of about 10 in this meadow, including this mother, with what looks like last year's offspring and a calf born earlier this year. Unfortunately I only had my Nikon 1 camera with me, so the image quality is a little bit wanting. I think you should be able to see that the second larger female is still to mature, being smaller than the hind on the left, which makes me think it is a family group. Certainly as they headed off they stayed together.
