Caerwys Agricultural Show
SATURDAY
After overnight rain, the weather defied the forecast and stayed warm and fine all day.
The annual agricultural show was on in Caerwys—just five miles up the road—so, as usual, I headed over to see what was going on this year. There was lots to look at: livestock championships, horse riding and driving, arts and crafts, classic cars (including a trio of Imps) and tractors, a dog show, local food and produce, young handlers, shire horses, the Clwyd Axemen, falconry displays, live music, trade stands, stalls, fairground rides, and a community tent packed with local clubs and societies. The Caerwys bowls club had a "guess the weight of a bag of bowls" competition.
It made for a great afternoon out—see extra photos which include a trio of Imps and a Huddersfield-made 1948 David Brown Cropmaster tractor.
