Far Too Easy....
Why use empty parking spaces when you can abandon your car on the pavement - on the kerb - both ...... and make it imposable for others to travel safely on either the road or the pavement?
It started about 9am and within minutes I was outside telling folk to b*gger off and stop parking on the pavement and corner and use some common sense and consideration. At one point there were 2 pillocks trying to park opposite each other completely blocking the courtyard at prevent anyone getting to or from the 12 houses.
Some of the tw*ts apologised, some got stroppy and some just downright rude - but they all moved when the legality of the offences were pointed out to them.
The exception to the rule was the one guy who was most apologetic, explained what the reason for the chaos was (a football 'festival' with dozens of teams and all their hangers on). He also asked if I could suggest any solution to his predicament. His whole demeanour and attitude was such that I suggested he use my driveway. His face lit up and he tried to give me his keys in case I had to move the car for any reason. I declined .... but he was the only polite person I spoke to.
SWMBO and I (when things seemed to have calmed down) walked over to the football 'event' and spoke to one of the organisers.
He wasn't much help.
I took a load of pictures.... over here as examples of the standard of parking which the owners deem as acceptable.
