A Good Day
We had to be at the field before 8:00 for Parker’s first game. The boys struggled and lost. We were definitely as good as the other team but their goalie blocked so many of our shots. We had about an hour between each game. It was nice to have a canopy that we could all use. We won the second game. Parker and his two school mates made five of the six goals. Parker had two and a couple assists. We ate lunch between the second and third game. It was cloudy until the last game. The sun came out and the temp was 80° but it felt like 90°F. We won the third game with Parker making two more goals, plus he had more assists but I couldn’t keep track of who else scored. This is the first time we got to watch Parker make so many goals. This is a new team and the coach told Renee he wanted to boost Parker’s confidence. I think he has. We were so warm and sweaty and happy to get back to our condo. The kids are all napping here and at another resort. Hubby and I are going to 5:30 Mass and getting dinner to bring back here. We are expecting storms this evening so it will be nice not to be in it. I’ll make a salad. Parker plays at 8:00 tomorrow so we will be doing it all over again. At least he only plays two games. Wishing you a “sleep in” Sunday. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “There’s no better feeling than stepping out on the field and stunning them all by doing what none of them thought you could do.” — Ashlyn Harris
