Golden Queen

Also known as Trollius chinensis, I believe.
It was a present from thebear and it lived up to its name today. I was rather worried that it seemed to have died back completely over the winter but it’s come back with a flourish.
Not much brightness anywhere else, I stepped in to do an extra shift at Save the Children this morning. The afternoon was all about shopping (including plants from our local hardware store) cleaning the house and then relaxing with the paper. We had planned a trip to Glasgow but so glad we decided against it. It’s been a busy week and we needed a rest day.
