Early Excitement

Had quite a day today, going to Elvas for the bazaar to raise funds for the maintenance of the British cemetery, then lunch for twelve of us, and our Support group on my mobile in the car. Plus, a grocery shop in Reguengos.

But the excitement of the day was emerging from the house early on and being surrounded by hot air balloons, and then, for more excitement, our friend, Chris, zoomed by three times in his small yellow plane.

This balloon was so low I wondered if it was in trouble, its flames whooshing away, scaring the cats next to me, not to mention making all the dogs bark. Zooming in on the folk in the basket, realised a couple of them were taking photos of me, standing there in my rather skimpy nightwear; oh well, hopefully I'll never meet any of them.

Gratefuls:
- beautiful drive through Spain to Elvas
- our supportive and encouraging support group
- great conversation with Celia, the amazing lady who organises the English cemetery events

Oh, and thanks for all your appreciation for my "touching tale" (thanks, Martin) yesterday.
