Mangersta beach
After yesterday’s sun and warmth, I thought I had not brought enough summer clothes with me. This morning dawned cold and misty. The must continued to get lower all morning. I stayed in, knitted and listened to Radio 4 (on the TV).
I had a brief drive out to send and receive messages but retreated to The Hayloft for lunch.
Then the mist evaporated and there was better visibility. I drove to Mangersta and walked down the track to the beach. There were loads of wildflowers on the hillsides and the rocks were amazing.
You can’t see the stacks from the beach, so that will be for another day.
Since I have 1 bar of 4G from my car - up the hill from the Community Centre I have back blipped yesterday and now I’m attempting today’s.
The extra is bog asphodel, coming nicely into flower. The lungwort is very pretty and there are orchids popping up everywhere. I also found kidney vetch, meadow buttercups, torment, bog cotton, eye bright, mountain everlasting and alpine butterwort. (Probably more. )
Time to go back and cook a meal. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
