Exhausted

My human is exhausted. If she didn't have me, it's far too early for me to go to bed she probably would have skipped dinner and just gone to bed when she got back from work at 6pm this evening. But, being the nicest Collie pup owner ever, she took me into the field and then fed me. I gobbled up my dinner and have been snoozing on the sun terrace ever since.

Ann doesn't know why she's so exhausted?! Her two sisters have been staying for the last week (they went home today) but it's not like she's had to run around after them. She's only cooked for them once, they cooked for her twice & they went out to eat the rest of the time. And also Ann has pretty much carried on her own life while they've been here, because they've been out on their bikes, so Ann hasn't had to take any time off work. OK, they've done sea swimming in the afternoons and Ann's normal sea swimming times are in the morning, but that shouldn't make her exhausted should it?

Anyway, sisters left 7.30am-ish and we went for a swim at 8am. While we were waiting for the 'Dippers & Swimmers' to arrive, Ann kept throwing my ball into the sea so I had to retrieve it. I don't actually mind going into the sea to get my ball, but once I've got it, I just swim to shore. It was actually quite busy down the beach this morning and quite a few people had doggies who were swimming with them. Ann would like me to swim with her but I don't want to do that. Ann's come to the conclusion that I don't like salty water. She intially thought I didn't like waves, but now she's thinking, I just don't like salt water. Actually, she doesn't like salt water either. That's why she never puts her head under the water. Lol!

All Ann's shifts at work have changed this week so today she worked 12.30-5.30pm. Normally she's finished by 3.30-4pm, but I honestly don't care what she works, cos I am the most adaptable little Collie in the world. I just fit into whatever Ann wants me to do because I know that I'll still get lovely walks and little trips into the field for toileting breaks.

We've got another busy week coming up..................... Three of Ann's friends (from Edinburgh) are coming to stay from Tuesday – Saturday. We love, love, love, having people to stay. BUT.......... only if they have an itinery of what they want to do.......................... And sitting around drinking gallons of Prosecco doesn't count??!! Lol!

Weather forecast is looking fab...................... Soooooo.............. maybe sitting around drinking Prosecco is all they're going to do.
