If only walls could talk

As part of ongoing training for Abbey bookstall welcomers , our Archivist Judy gave a talk today. It was fascinating wandering outside the building looking at the different parts and thinking about the past: such a chequered history. There’s been a building on site since the 670s with Anglo Saxon Norman and medieval structures, all suffering from fire earthquakes and attacks
It certainly made me look at the building in a fresh light.
