A mystery

I’m getting brownie points from Mr C as one of the decorators arrived at 9 to assess the bathroom for the wallpaper and reckoned he could do the job. We are to contact him again when the painting is done. Such a relief as Mr C has not papered for 20 years so was apprehensive.

I carried on with the Algeria book while Mr C painted the woodwork in the bathroom, but it’s not going well. The type of paint recommended for bathroom woodwork is slightly glossy whereas the walls of the same colour are matte. We’re going to do the topcoat a matte despite it not being best for bathrooms as it will look better.
At 1 the man came to put up the blinds in the conservatory. He had a look at the bathroom but doesn’t do wooden ones only fake.

When I opened the conservatory door to let him in I found a smashed hen’s egg on the paving. It’s a mystery. It wasn’t there last night. How could it have got there? A fox?
