Reflections of the River RIver

These two photos (there is an extra) were taken on our walk into Salisbury.  Yes, its those Salisbury rivers again - the Avon once more, but this time, there are sections where the water, though fairly fast moving seems almost mirror like.  The extra really highlights this, though not a particularly interesting subject, the perfect reflection almost fools you into thinking it is some kind of room.

Another restful day in our beloved Salisbury, though I do have to keep tabs on where L disappears to.  We enter a shop in search of something or other and no sooner than we are inside and I look around and nowhere!  The same happened in Waitrose, I knew she was looking for water and pickled walnuts, so I marched down the middle thoroughfare and searched every aisle assiduously, but was I able to spot her - no.  Finally, there she was at the checkout!  Though not as dangerous as saying we'll meet at the Sonder coffee shop - which is, by the way, excellent.  There are just too many charity shops and rather more expensive earring shops in between.  I read half the Guardian before a smiling L turned up with something to show fo the time she had been browsing, ostensibly on the way to the coffee shop!

Actually glad we are both having such a good restful time with good walks and laughs and very pleasant weather around 23 - 24 deg C.

Tonight I stretched the limits of our humble camping stove and cooked Chateaubriand with oven chips, asparagus and some sundry vegetables,, including a jus to go with it and we had some delicious horseradish to accompany.

Almost forgot to mention the strange sight I witnessed on the campsite this afternoon - one couple had to Cockatoos out of their cage and making squawking noises while crawling all around their tent - I couldn’t believe that they had brought their 2 birds with them camping!

Sitting outside in the cool fresh air of the evening and looking forward to the market in the morning - hopefully connecting at our coffee shop with J who is here in Salisbury and who we will be transporting with us to see Auntie H and LV before they head out to Portugal.
