Puppet on a string

First things first, remarkably BiL is off oxygen, heart monitor, drips & catheter all gone….. responding to drugs for infections, 50% improvement now. Likely being moved today from CCU to a medical ward……. sis sent me a pic of him finally sleeping peacefully :-)

Boy it’s been a warm one in Lincoln today.
Breakfast in the garden.
Dogs in & out of the paddling pool

Trip into town in the van this afternoon,
temperature was 30c, typically there had been a power cut meaning a lot of the local traffic lights were out, so a longer stint in the van queuing than normal, stiffling!

We got the things we’d gone for, then sort some cooler air in 200 Degrees, a local coffee house, they do great coffee!
We shared a sausage roll to tide us over until later before heading home again.

On our way back to the car we encountered this italian puppeteer, with various puppets,
from Pavorotti, Michael Jackson to Elvis, much to C’s delight lol …… apparently he did have a song released called Puppet on a string, not the Sandy Shaw version I believe.

C’s daughter H started a new job today…… it had been a hot one stuck in a training room all day……shoes off & straight into the paddling pool with the dogs as soon as she got home lol :-)

A light dinner, fish in breadcrumbs with a big fresh dressed salad yum!

I packed up the car & got on the road just after 8….. trouble with travelling at night is all the road/lane closures, encountered 3 lots on my journey, added around 30mins :-/

I’ve just been adding up roughly how many miles I’ve done in the last 10 days, roughly a 1000 I reckon!!
