Over Yonder

I've Fallen And I Can't Get Up

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Abi and me had a very quiet day today. She was cat-sitting next door and spent most of her day b*mholing.

I also felt like a b*mhole day after the exploits of last night so I tucked myself up and had a nap on the couch.

Apparently Abi popped around to print off her CV and - despite the racket of the printer - neither me or Jasper even stirred.

"It was so CUTE," said Abi, lying.

She then went out and dropped off her CV at a few places. Meanwhile, Jasper had woken up and decided that if HE was awake then I should be too, and meowed right in my face.

Caro, meanwhile, had been having a MUCH busier time of it. She met up with the family of the person she picked up yesterday and THEN got yet another case! So she picked him up too and only arrived home about around 6.30.

We had our dinner separate from Abi but she popped back over at about 9:30pm so we could wish Libby a happy birthdayyyyyyy.

Libby looked so cute but a little embarrassed to have the Kiwi branch of the family pestering her early in the morning in Sheffield. All the same she was lovely and funny although I provided the comedy moment of the evening.

See, I was TRYING to lean in over the couch so I could be seen on Abi's phone. Only I leaned too far and got stuck. I tried to wiggle my way back up.

"What ARE you doing?" asked Caro, giving away what I had hoped was subtle manoeuvring.

(To be fair, it was more like a drunken caterpillar having a fit).

Anyway. I had to be rescued. Cue much hilarity from everyone, including Libby's roommate.

 There is no dignity.

S.
