Gently down the stream

Marbled White

As I'd promised myself yesterday I went to the butterfly reserve this afternoon.  Really it was a stupid thing to do, I was too tired and my eyes are still sore from yesterday's shenanigans.  Thank goodness for self focusing cameras, eh?  When I was young and working in the biz it was waiting for a person to walk into focus then clicking the shutter and getting it right every time - I couldn't do that now!

Still, here is a marbled white butterfly feeding on knapweed and surrounded by lots of glamorous colour.  The butterflies I saw this afternoon were mostly marbled whites and meadow browns, but there was also a comma that refused to open it's wings, some small heaths, skippers, brimstones and of course a scattering of really very pretty moths.

So that's me for tonight.  I'm really sorry but once again I'm saving up commenting, etc for tomorrow, but there will be no more put offs.  I will do that lovely job in the morning and not go out for too long a walk.

Take care and have a good evening  xx
