Hot and noisy

An uncomfortably hot, noisy and tiring day for everyone involved, including Rufus who is very disturbed by it all,  not just the constant battering of noise but most especially having several strange men on the property and he was uncharacteristically aggressive towards some of them, so I kept him in the bedroom. I don't blame him - it is unbearably loud  when they are drilling and bashing stuff on the roof terrace as it reverberates throughout the entire building, and as a rescue woofer, I've no idea what unkindnesses he may have received from unknown persons in the past. 

I'm always amazed by the speed of progress with any work done in this country. At this rate Abo is predicting everything will be finished by the end of this week. Amen to that. Meanwhile, the terrace is looking good and as we talked our way through the day's progress Abo and I are both more than satisfied. 

The most fun moment was watching the delivery of all the floor tiles. 

Early evening brought joyous silence and a surprise video call from Graham and Kat in the UK. We haven't chatted for a while so it was good to catch up for an hour. What was left of the evening passed in recovery mode - Netflix and knitting.
