Ji picked me up and we drove down to Rutland to visit Barnsdale- the late Geoff Hamilton’s garden. It featured every week on Gardeners World for many years. It was really well laid out- they still maintain the individual smallish gardens (though updated) which featured on the tv programme and they are full of good ideas to use in normal suburban plots. I would like to incorporate a small pond similar to this one. We had coffee when we arrived and then a reasonable lunch. The weather was glorious, a bit too hot in the afternoon to be perfect. I bought an Iceberg climbing rose that I have been looking out for for a while. .
Got home about 4.30 and Ji stayed for a cup of tea and a chat under the shelter.
