Art in the orchard: Outside classroom

this is where all the amazing art projects are held this week, this afternoon a group of us attended a book making workshop.  Printing the cover was great fun: find a few leaves, place the ink pad on the underside of the leaf, many colours to chose from, the leaf is then faced ink side down onto clean card and press the inky leaf, remove carefully.  I layered mine with different colours, again preferring the yellow and orange affect. It was another lovely session for playing, why should children have all the fun……

Later we placed pages inside, cut the printed cover to size and simply bound the centre together.  Later I could see how the spine of the leaf was prominent, another go would be good. 

Before and after this play time my day was not great, computers not linking to the printer, a missing file, iPad camera disappeared, John solved that and other things technical.  I have stopped and hope tomorrow is better.  I wonder what happens to the brain to make some days a mangled mess.
