Summer Version

In January I enjoyed following the amazing people running the Pennine Way in the snow - the Spine Race. At the moment the Summer version is going on. The runners go past our house and down into Dufton as the bus shelter is one of the checkpoints. It is good to be able to follow individuals as they come down from High Cup Nick and then I see them pass by the house - I took this photo as a guy passed the gate. 

I took this screen shot just a short while ago and you can see a group of them heading down to the checkpoint. If I look out of the window I can watch them go by. I find this quite amazing. 

Most of them seem to stop in the village - well the cafe is open! And they can have a rest. Gordon went down and found four of them lying on the grass fast asleep!! Apparently they will be passing through all night.
