Train Challenge No 17

Plan B - Kennet and Avon Canal, Bradford on Avon

Having put extra care in place, set out early with my BC friend for Wells. However after waiting 35mins for the first bus we gave up as we wouldn't have made our connection. 

Went back home, consulted bus and train times, cancelled the extra care, and decided to just hop on a train to Bradford on Avon. 

Given the weather, 25 degrees, 2½ hours relaxing by the canal was probably a much better idea than spending 4hrs travelling to Wells and back on buses.

After lunch at the Canal Trust café, and a stroll along the canal, we visited the Medieval Tithe Barn and nearby art gallery before seeking shade by the River Avon where there were amazing reflections of the town's old mill building (pics in that order in extras, if you fancy a gander).

Total train journey time = 44mins

Home by 3pm in time for Dad who was suffering in the heat, and time to try and place supermarket order. After battling with non-existent internet for 4hrs phoned the supermarket and cancelled tomorrow's order. The only way I can post today's blip is by hanging over the fence and pinching K's WiFi signal!! Hope to sort issue and catch up with journals tomorrow.
