'O' in Bolton!

Today we got up late and worked on sending lots of family tree etc papers to our daughter in the States.  All very interesting stuff but a bit long winded.  Ro was scanning and sending pdfs and I was taking photos and sending jpgs!!  Most of that is now done. Then it was time for dinner and we boasted two sausages from last night with the girls!!!  Nothing very mouthwatering!!  So off we went into town to the Olympus for our favourite fish and chips for Ro and salad for me.

Then we wandered round the streets behind Newport street  to see  if we could find some of the typewriter keys and a few more objects.  So here are: The teapot and two of the keys.  These last are quite difficult to find!  Some I think have gone missing and some are tucked round a corner in the brickwork of old buildings and some we couldn't get to as it was evening and certain shopping areas are closed.

The bronze cast teapot represents the tea merchants of the late 18 th century.

The typewriter keys represent The Typewriting and accounting Manufacture, Maxwell, Jones and Company that traded fromfrom 37 Mawdsley st.in the late 1800s.

Last time we found a handbag, some books and a paintpot and brush!

We also found a map of the objects to be found on line but I just can't find it again.
