Bathurst Street Lamps

Bathurst installed these lamps (kerosene)  in 1864 and converted them to gas in 1872. Of course they are now electric. They are heritage listed and number 105. Looks like some are being done up which is good as they are a real feature in some of the streets around town. 

I walked up to the library to exchange books and visit the pharmacy. Also did some gardening and cleaning of the front patio which hasn’t seen a broom in months. The days started with a frost of -5.8 degrees C but warmed up to 13 which is Ok if you are working or walking. 

Walked almost a mile (1.5 km). I took my crutch but didn’t really use it today.
