IBCC
Today we actually got to visit the International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) and Memorial at Lincoln. It’s been on our cards for years, but all of our visits to Lincoln were on a Monday (when they are closed!).
The blip is of part of the ‘experience’ in the exhibition, this part showing the timeline of bombing activity, year by year, through the second world war.
At extra are the ‘Spire’, and the poppies with the Lancaster (could not get high enough to get a good shot, I was holding the camera above my head for this one.
We also were entertained by the Red Arrows practicing, third extra. I do have a series of shots of them doing this loop, which I will put together on Flickr later with a selection of the other shots I took. This evening I am a little tired.
Brilliant place to visit, we can recommend to anyone who has the slightest interest in such things.
