Keeping an eye on things (back blip)
Two houses peer out of the trees at Fromehall, near the old mill. The pond is looking bloomed up with algae, and there are not as many wildfowl on it as there used to be. I’d walked along the canal to meet a client to introduce her to the art studio’s facilitator, but she (client) had not turned up. I rang her, and ten minutes later, she appeared.
We had the studio tour and an explanation of what goes on in the formal classes. At this point, it hit me that I really want to join one of the groups! Is that why I keep taking people there? Oh dear…
Client seemed keen, but later texted me to say she wouldn’t be signing up for anything there. Fair enough. I went back to work, but cheated a bit by buying a wicker chair for my study in a charity shop on the way home. The chair that was in my study already could not be donated, ad it had no fire safety labels. I put it outside my house with a notice saying, please take. Then the rain began! The chair got soaked but, hours later, when I looked out, it had gone! Result!
A friend K and her daughter M came to look at the contents of my craft cupboard. I wanted the daughter, who’s doing art GCSE, to take some stuff as a gift. K was enchanted by the contents of my bookcase and sat on thr stairs reading, but M only took a bagful of items, some of which I could swear I had never seen before in my life!
The clearing-out continues.
