Angels unaware

we met up with some Canadian friends from Ontario today who were visiting Montreal. After a false start in the morning when we were evacuated from a metro station for an emergency we eventually found our way up to St Joseph's Oratory at Mount Royal (see extra).  A very impressive building but what resonated most to me was the sculpture outside by an Ontario artist, Timothy Schmalz. It's about the  duty of hospitality and the need to entertain strangers and depicts a variety of people arriving in a boat.
