The Stacks
I had planned to photograph the Mangersta Stacks today but it did not look promising. The thick mist was low and visibility was poor. Perhaps I could see them in eerie light?
First I went to see Tosh and Ged, where I had stayed for 3 nights. We had coffee and a chat. Their house was surrounded by mist, but they thought it might be better along the coast.
It was very calm overlooking the stacks and the light was flat. I told myself it was better than a previous occasion when I could barely stand!
Gradually the sun appeared and I enjoyed the peaceful walk and some unusual wild flowers. A few people walked along the same route.
This afternoon, I drove up a hill to a telecommunications mast and enjoyed a 360 degree view. It was a bit hazy but the sky and sea were blue.
Tonight there is a concert in the Community Centre so I’m joining my hosts for that.
Packing has started. Gulp!
