New Adoptee…

… It’s always an honour to be adopted by a baby animal, whether elephant or robin.
(We don’t get many baby elephants on the whole in the High Peak).

We’ve had a lovely day (so far).
We’ve been over to see our nearest and dearest (and our very favourite poodle).

We took some of yesterday’s School Cake with us which was, sadly, quite disappointing I felt. (I had such high hopes!). I think I had left it just a tad too long in the oven. (Usually I tend to undercook, so I was extra careful).
It tasted ok, (and was full of good organic things including seven eggs) but there’s SO MUCH of it! I’d be happier if it were moister. It would certainly benefit from a good dollop of custard!

The wine forecast has gone west. We’re all over the fresh lemonade and soda here. I don’t know what’s come over me.
But it’s still chip night! So all is not lost!
