Thistles

The first day of our return home went reasonably smoothly although we were nearly twelve hours on the road. This was partly because of a minor accident that blocked the ring road around Chartres. I was grateful for the car’s air-conditioning as the heat wave in northern France and to the west of Paris is quite intense with temperatures well into the 30s.
