Far too hot

It was lovely early this morning, quite cool and nice breeze. We packed everything away, did the usual filling of water and emptying of waste and left the site around 9:30, by which time it was very warm. Drove down the Alsace Route du Vin, taking our time and enjoying the beautiful countryside. The plan was to end the day in Colmar but I found an aire in Ribeauvillé so we stopped there and walked into the centre around three as it started to cool, but not by much so we kept in the shade. Beautiful place and the best church we have visited yet, stunning with wonderful artwork on display.
The temperatures are going up so we are going to head away from our planned route in the hope of finding a cooler area. Colmar forecast is for mid 30s and that’s just too much for Hetty.
