Friday: First Raspberries …

… spotted early morning when I went to check out various plants around the back yard and the greenhouse. Picked a handful of raspberries which MrD ate with his breakfast along with delicious home grown strawberries from our neighbours across the road :-))

The flowers are Astrantia, I have quite a few different ones they all do well in my garden and flower for a long time and the insects like them - perfect :-))

A very warm 28°C  late morning which felt much hotter because there wasn’t even a slight breeze :-(

After lunch I potted on some Nigella, Stock and Aquelegia, whilst I was engrossed in this job I saw a familiar movement in the flower pots nearby, the wings of a Hummingbird Hawk Moth, didn’t get a photo because it was too quick for me, this was a few years ago - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2330386331147963065
