Neither Squirrel Blip Friday ...

... nor Flower Friday.

We had such a fantastic day!  The weather was simply perfect with just the right temps plus super low humidity.  I would like every day to be like this! Welcome Summer!

To take advantage of this glorious weather after lunch we headed up to Minsi Lake.  We didn't plan on kayaking as there was just a little too much wind.  Instead we simply enjoyed being by the lake ... and photographing all the different birds and things.  

I took way too many pictures to settle on just one ... so a collage was in order.  The collage includes the following starting in the upper left: Osprey (looking for fish in the lake below), Bald Eagle, Purple Martin, dragonfly (not sure the variety) and a Great Blue Heron.  The purple martins are hard to photograph.  The males are such a dark glossy blue they almost look black. 

We were enjoying the lake so much we almost didn't want to leave.  But leave we must.  And we were home in plenty of time for supper.
