Too slow and short to hit the peaks
Today has been a day and a half.
I woke at seven and decided to get up. Windows had been open all night, but it was still warm.
I scraped my hair back, washed my face and brushed my teeth; put on my allotment clothes and headed down to the kitchen.
Made myself a cup of coffee, and went and sat outside. I wrote a menu for the week, and then started to sort my stones. Initially I started sorting by size, but I conversed with the kids on line, and tooli suggested colour may be easier.
Himself got up at 8.30 and made bacon butties which we enjoyed outside, and then we headed up to the plot.
We weeded, planted more flowers, strimmed. Himself helped a couple of folk do things. When we finished three hours later, the place looked amazing. All the beds weeded. All growing veg and flowers with space All the edges strimmed. I could barely stand straight I was exhausted. We headed home. I counted some more of my pebbles, and Himself mowed the front and back lawn and strimmed.
Then it was shower time, and then we headed to BQ for wood for allotment, and Morrisson for shopping. We went to a different Morrison today, and we didn't like it. The people were not quiet and calm like Troon shoppers, it was a bit wild. Kids were opening stuff on the shelves and eating it, and then putting them back. People had been throwing eggs around, it was a relief to leave.
We went straight to the allotment and dropped the wood off and then home, to put the shopping away. Immediately we left and went back to the town, pcked up some toiletries we had needed, and two or three items from our local Morrison to finish off the weekly shop.
I don't need to do the treadmill today, because I haven't stopped all day.
When we got in, I counted some more pebbles, and re-arranged according to colour. Instead of one box now - I have five.
Then Himself produced a glorious risotto, and put on 28 Week later while I was trying to eat it. He is preparing me for visit to Theatre tomorow; To see 28 Years Later. I really hope I dont scream outloud in the theatre!
Knackered. Won't be up late tonight.
