Worcester Cathedral...

My first visit to Worcester, where I'm staying for a couple of nights. It's been a ridiculously hot and humid day, and as a consequence I rather messed up my intended visit to the historic cathedral - by the time I got there at 5.15pm it was closed for a service and won't be open to visitors again until tomorrow afternoon, when I shall be elsewhere.

I was a little disappointed that building works around the cathedral rather limited photo opportunities from up close, but in the end I was quite pleased with this long shot taken from the bridge across the River Severn
