Day Lily

Today is Abi’s big graduation party. They are expecting at least 40 guests. I got up early to make the baked beans, slaw (my donations) and the fresh lemon blueberry scones I promised Parker last weekend. I staked some of the tomatoes and watered the new plants. It is going to be over 90°F today. My day lilies are blooming in the formal garden. Most folks hung out at the pool; I found a comfy chair inside and enjoyed the air conditioning. We are leaving early to attend 5:00 Mass. Kristen made Abi a cake with lemon curd and cheesecake filling. Wish we were going to be here to sample it. Kim made several types of cookies.
