Along My Path
Oh what a restful Sunday we have had. Our warm temps (93.7°F at 3 pm) have made us lazy. And today is as cool as it will be until week’s end! We had a slight breeze earlier in the day, making breakfast on the front porch pleasant. I read out there for hours. At one point, I went searching for butterflies. This common white tail dragonfly landed in front of me and asked to be blipped. Back on the porch later, this toothy skink came up and asked the same favor. How could I resist. Hubby filled the water fountains; they evaporate quickly in the heat. He watered a few droopy flowers in pots. One of the finials broke on the formal garden fence. He repaired it today as well. I made us two “juicy Lucy “ burgers and he grilled them for lunch. We cleaned the kitchen and it was nap time. We still have a few leftovers that will accompany a fresh salad for dinner. And that’s it for our lazy day. Wishing you a similar end to your weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder.” - E.B. White
