Journies at home

Window cleaning

Midsummer dreams of coolness.  I head to the hills early then have a surreptitious swim in the Relais pool.

The Australians are back with talk of travel and make me feel poor and provincial.  Caught having a viognier with Rousseaux at Atmos.  My daughter informs me I can't have my cake and eat it.  i swallow that and tell her to get on with the window cleaning, which she does.

Once a year, on midsummer's day, the French state sways all music royalties which should, but never does, ensure a good live playlist.  The town was teaming with heat and people by 10pm and the band was playing Brassens (surely out of copyright?)

I returned home, poured myself a gin and ramped up Springsteen
